My Brother's Wedding

Here are a few pictures of my brother's temple wedding. The reception followed the next day. Here we all are at the Hamilton, New Zealand Temple. The ceremony was short and sweet and the weather (thankfully) held out for us. We are thrilled to have Khali as part of our family. She is an intelligent, kind, genuine person. Dean will be very good to her. He has always been the example of what a good brother and friend should be. He has always treated me with care and kindness.

Keri, Verne, Aunt Bertha, and I did a session right before the sealing. It was very nice. I don't know that any of us will forget what happened after the session... The skirt I had needed ironing badly but the hotel didn't have an iron. So...after the session in the temple I tried dampening the skirt and putting it under the hot air hand dryer to get out some of the deep creased lines. One of the temple workers who saw me said that the laundry people downstairs could iron it for me. So that is exactly what we did. My 93 great aunt, my sister, and I went to the laundry and sure enough...she was willing. I stayed in the broiler room, skirtless, while she ironed my skirt. Don't think any of us three will forget that moment.

This is my only auntie. She is my Mum's half sister and an absolute hoot. She drove all the way from the South Island for the wedding with her daughter, Naomi. We love you Auntie Adrian. I captured this picture which I think depicts the unassuming and witty character she is.
